Ann McMillan M.Sc.
President and founder

Ann McMillan discovered Pilates while pursuing a dance
career in New York City. Fascinated with the human body
in motion she holds a Masters degree in Exercise science
from the Université de Montréal. Her graduate
work was the first to establish a scientific link between
Pilates and improved dynamic posture in ballet dancers.
A pioneer, she was the first to offer Pilates to the
Montreal public. She opened the Centre Pilates de Montréal
in 1992 and quickly built a solid clientele. In response
to the ever growing demand for information about Pilates,
Ann has given numerous interviews to the media
In addition to her teacher training activities, Ann
has given internal training at: Centre ÉPIC l'Institut
de cardiologie de Montréal, l'École du
Cirque de Québec, The dance department of Cégep
St-Laurent and at le Centre de conditionement de la
femme. Ann also teaches at the kinesiology department
of l'Université de Montréal.

KIM EMERY B.Sc.
Instructor

Kim is passionate about sports and music. She discovered
Pilates during her studies at the kinesiology department
at l'Université de Montréal. This new
passion led her to be an instructor at the Pilates Center
of Montréal. Her focus is on Post-rehabilitation
and posture. In 2005 Kim undertook a Graduate degree
at McGill University measuring the effects of the Pilates
method on the functional biomechanics of the shoulder.
Her work intends to demonstrate the potential of Pilates
in the prevention and treatment of neck and shoulder
problems.

Marie-Pierre Gendron B.Sc.

Patricia Duthilleul B.Sc.
Instructor

Patricia has been teaching Pilates since 1998. She was
drawn to it because of its complete and thorough program
of mental and physical conditioning. Patricia's study
of movement began as a competitive track and field athlete;
she competed for ten years at the provincial and national
levels. She then went on to complete her bachelor's
degree in physical education at McGill University. Her
fascination with Pilates and interest in learning more
about the principles of this technique lead Patricia
to follow her instructor training with Ann McMillan.

Lisa Pelletier B.Sc.
Instructor

Fascinated by the performing arts Lisa developed early
on a passion for dance. It was while teaching dance
that Lisa became aware of just how complex the human
body in motion is. Her curiosity and desire to learn
led her to complete a BA in kinesiology at l'Université
de Montréal in 2006. During her studies she did
an internship at the Pilates Center of Montreal. Here
she discovered a philosophy and a method that matched
her personality and professional aspirations.

Nicolas Beaudoin B.Sc.
Instructor and Kinésiologue-kinésithérapeute

An athletic soul, Nicolas holds a Bachelors degree
in Kinesiology from l'Université de Montréal
and a professional masters in therapeutic exercices
from l'Université de Sherbrooke. Looking for
a more global approach to fitness training, he discovered
Pilates which develops better posture and movement efficiency.
Nicolas now works as a Pilates instructor and Kinésiologue-Kinésithérapeute
at Ann McMillan Pilates®, applying his expertise
on a daily basis to help his clients reach higher levels
of global wellness.

Édith Noël B.Sc.
Instructor

Ms Noël is a graduate of l'Institut Kiné-Concept
and is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at
l'Université du Québec à Montréal.
In her private practice room at the Centre Pilates de
Montréal she combines Swedish massage and masso-kinesitherapy.
She is also a Pilates instructor at the CPM. Édith
discovered an interest for Pilates a few years ago.
Having practiced martial arts she finds in Pilates the
same desire for balance between body and soul.

Roxane Joubert B.Sc.
Chief Instructor

Roxane Joubert is passionate about dance. She completed
a Bachelors degree in kinesiology in 2002 at l'Université
de Montréal. As a Pilates instructor at the CPM
she teaches to wide variety of customers from out of
shape people to high performance athletes. Very involved
in the instructor training program at Ann McMillan Pilates®
she has been leading Mat training classes since 2003.
Passionate about her work, Roxane studies human anatomy
while perfecting her Pilates technique. Roxane is a
fully certified Gyrotonic® instructor.

Mélanie Castonguay B.Sc.
Instructor

Physical activity has always been important to Mélanie.
In her youth she trained by combining dance and Martial
Arts. Passionate bout training she worked as a physical
fitness expert for the Canadian Customs Services. Mélanie
discovered Pilates after completing her BA in contemporary
dance at UQAM. During her first session she understood
how Pilates can strengthen stabilizing muscles while
at the same time respecting one's limits and thereby
avoid injury.

Mélisssa Tremblay B.Sc.
Instructor

Mélissa developed an interest for physical activity
during her adolescence, her main focus was swimming.
Her academic choices were guide by her knowledge of
just how beneficial physical activity can be. She graduated
from l'Université de Montréal in 2004
with a BA in kinesiology. Her studies broadened her
horizons towards different types of training. She gave
different training classes like aqua fitness and spinning.
Her interest in dynamic posture and rehabilitation brought
her to Ann McMillan Pilates®. In the future she
wants to refine her technique and to always be learning
more.

Karine Boulet B.Sc.
Instructor

As a teenager became a certified instructor in Aerobics,
Step and Tae Box. She taught these for eight years,
as well as teaching weight training. In 2000, she completed
a Bachelors degree in Physical Education at Université
de Sherbrooke. Following this, she discovered Pilates
and became completely enthralled by the method and became
a certified Pilates instructor at Ann McMillan Pilates®.
Fascinated by the human body, Karine is continually
fine-tuning her skills, and keeping up with new developments
in her field.

Marie-Josée discovered Pilates through
her many years of dance. She holds a Bachelors'
degree in dance teaching from UQAM. She undertook
her Pilates instructor training with Ann McMillan
motivated by the desire to share with others the
method from which she has gotten so many benefits.
Her plan is to constantly perfect her knowledge
of the method and the human body in motion.
