Ann McMillan M.Sc.
President and founder

Ann McMillan discovered Pilates while pursuing a dance career in New York City. Fascinated with the human body in motion she holds a Masters degree in Exercise science from the Université de Montréal. Her graduate work was the first to establish a scientific link between Pilates and improved dynamic posture in ballet dancers.

A pioneer, she was the first to offer Pilates to the Montreal public. She opened the Centre Pilates de Montréal in 1992 and quickly built a solid clientele. In response to the ever growing demand for information about Pilates, Ann has given numerous interviews to the media

In addition to her teacher training activities, Ann has given internal training at: Centre ÉPIC l'Institut de cardiologie de Montréal, l'École du Cirque de Québec, The dance department of Cégep St-Laurent and at le Centre de conditionement de la femme. Ann also teaches at the kinesiology department of l'Université de Montréal.
